How to keep your baby under control
Both children and parents are looking forward to the end of the school year and the start of the holidays. But when the holidays begin, children often do not know what to do. Most often, their entertainment is a TV or computer. Children watch TV or play computer games because of boredom, but soon these activities will turn into a real addiction.
Watching movies or TV shows is rarely complete without having a bite to eat. Children crackle with chips or popcorn in front of TV screens, and for parents this becomes a cause for concern. They often ask themselves: “Maybe this is our fault? Perhaps we are doing something wrong? ”And, indeed, children often borrow from their parents the habit of eating in front of the TV screen. Therefore, parents themselves must adhere to the rules of a healthy diet before teaching them a child.
A healthy lifestyle, to which parents seek to accustom their child, implies that they must control their weight. Consider a few tips to help parents with this process.
How to teach a child to control his weight
To control his weight, a child, first of all, needs physical activity. There are several ways to achieve it. Use them – and your child will not only be physically active, but at the same time will be able to have fun.
1. Walking in the open air
The child must understand that life is not limited to the Internet and computer games. Many of us have bad habits since childhood, without breaking up with them in adulthood. Children watch us and learn our habits. But adults often forget that their childhood passed without the Internet and mobile phones. Therefore, they can teach children how to have fun without these funds. Teach your children more to walk outside, play football and other outdoor games. This will help children strengthen their muscles, lose weight and have fun.
2. Summer camps
Today, summer camps for children are becoming more common. In most cases, they are designed to distract children from computers and televisions, providing them with something interesting instead. There are many camps in which children are taught foreign languages, dancing, various sports and much more. All their free time they are physically active and spend time to good use.
Often the child begins to like the classes that he is taught in the camp, so in the future he tries to learn more about this area, and sometimes even connects his future profession with it. But even if this does not happen, you will see that your child has learned to spend time more rationally.
What foods to avoid
When a child shows sufficient physical activity, it’s time to develop healthy eating habits. First of all, children should understand what moderation in nutrition is. And here also, in many ways, children take an example from their parents. If you yourself often overeat, constantly have a snack between meals and eat at different times, children are more likely to do the same. Such habits need to be controlled. But, before you teach this child, establish control over such habits yourself. Do not keep in the house a lot of fast food and other junk food, as this will only increase the temptation for the child. It’s better if he always has fresh fruits and other healthy products on hand in case he wants to have a bite. This will help him better control his weight.
Make it a habit to dine or have breakfast with the whole family. Make sure that there are always enough vegetables on the table (both raw, and boiled or fried), milk, cereals, rich in protein, etc. Make sure all your family members get enough protein and carbohydrates and a small amount of fat with food.
It is very important that the child drink enough water. However, it can be difficult to do: in the summer we feel thirsty and drink more, in the winter we need only a few sips of water to get drunk. We do not realize how much water we actually need. Therefore, it is important that drinking water is always at hand: the child can always drink as soon as he feels thirst.
